I didn’t see this mentioned but if it is a duplicate I apologize. I was trying out the JA Social JomSocial theme on J! 1.7 with JomSocial 2.2.4 and had a massive horizontal scroll.

I found what I believe is a typo in the style.css file for this template:
com_community>templates>ja_social>css>style.css

This (around line 5536):

#jsMenu .jsIr {
text-indent: 9999em;
}


should be

#jsMenu .jsIr {
text-indent: -9999em;
}
