May 29, 2008 at 9:17 pm #129057“Hot Topic” (category of section “News”) is set to have the whole screen space, while articles in all other categories are delimited by the two columns to the right. The latter gives a much nicer layout, in my opinion.
What do I do to put “Hot Topic” – and articles shown when clicking a tag (same problem) – the same layout as the rest? ( Test site: http://balkongen.net/balkongen/index.php)
I guess the question per se reveals that I’m not much of a php-magician, so: Anyone with a comprehensible solution? This is peanuts for you.

Hi maghen,
The format of the full article of the screen is not fixed by the script, and there is no need to change any script.
It is your choice, as webmaster, whether the “Hot topic” will occupy the entire width of the screen. Or to put it differently, it is your choice what appears on the right side of a “Hot Topic” full article.
For example, if you want the “tags module” that you have in your site:
http://balkongen.net/balkongen/index.php
to appear on the right side of your “Hot Topic” full article, here is what you do:
Go to the Modules Control Panel and Open the “Tags” module, or whatever name it is for this module
Administrator => Modules => Tags (module)
Open the Tags module, and make sure that in the Menu Item Link(s):
You select “All” and the Tags module found on the right of your page will appear on all the articles of your page.
You can select any other module that appears on the “left” or “right” of your page to appear to the right of your article, by doing the same.
There is just one problem with selecting “ALL”, you may not want the Tags module to appear in some articles or contents of your page. To circumvent this, you pick what sections, categories, and other contents of your site that will contain the “Tags” module or for that matter, any module you want to appear.
Note:
I do not see “Hot Topics” module appearing among the choices found in the Menu Item Link(s), but there is under main menu:
Main Menu => News
Highlighting the above choice may work because Hot Topics is under News.

May 30, 2008 at 7:08 am #251153Hi cgc0202,
thank you very much. I had no idea that I had bought such a brilliant template. One should read those manuals more often, I understand. 🙂 Well, understanding the meaning of those menu choices now, opens up new avenues of possibilities. Thanks again.
