I can’t seem to get the images displayed as bg in Hot Topic. When I have an image in the displayed news it will only show the title.
Is there a place I need to specify the path for the images used?

The images in “Hot Topics” are not actually backgrounds…they are actually just simple images placed at the front of separate ARTICLES displayed in a module.
If you have the demo items loaded you can find them at:
In the Administrative panel select:
CONTENT MANAGER> ARTICLES and then in the drop down menu on the right under SELECT CATEGORY choose HOT TOPIC…and you’ll easily see how they are displayed.
Basically you are creating a page just like any other, but the category in the demo has to be HOT TOPIC and the hot topic module does the rest.
If you want to create a new Module using the same effect, you’ll need to select “Spotlight Module Content with Image” when you click New in the Module area.

It turned out that it didn’t load the background of the first item but it would the second and so forth. Really strange…

is there a way to specify which image from an article should be appeared at hot topic module?
I have observerd that when I have an article with many images the hot topic module selects the last image of the article.

They have launched a component called as Title Tags. Here is a link to their demo site ->

As you can see, you can give various tags, like they have currently given “Featured”. You can contact them and give my reference if u want anything clarified.
