Hello, I am working on a website for the Library I work and am interested in having the main section not be in a blog- like format. I want each article to be on its own line (not side-by-side another article).

I went to where I think I would need to go to change this (layout.css?) played with it and made a couple changes that “semi worked” depending on which browser you look at the site in,etc….but I would like to fix it properly (across all browsers). However, I do not know PHP. I printed the layout.css out…but I can not figure out how to adjust this without screwing the layout up altogether.

The site link is here: http://www.wixomlibrary.org/wixom_joomla/ (ignore the sample material….I added a bunch of filler to see how things would look, etc).

Any idea how I can make the articles appear one by one on their own line?!!

Thank you ahead of time!!! Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Just for reference–see this website myself and another former co-worker had worked on a while back: http://northvillelibrary.org/

I want the articles to look similar to it. One-by-one

    Hi wixomweb

Please try to do with my guider:

+ Disable ja news2 and ja news frontpage module
+ Go to Menus -> Main Menu -> edit the default item (ex: Home item), in Parameters (Basic) tab, please enter:

    – # Leading: 0;
    – # Intro : 6
    – Columns: 1
    – # Links : 0

    Hope it helps.

Oh my goodness!! I can’t believe I didn’t look there before! I totally forgot you can adjust the parameters. I was totally overthinking this.

I already had ja news (both) disabled. But the parameters are what totally helped!!

    Thank you so much!!! 😎

I am not seeing the ja news module….is there another way to search for it other than by name….perhaps position??

You go to the administrator => Extensions > Module Manager. You will see a filter navigation near top right, click the “Select Type” select box, then choose “mod_janews” from the dropdown list.
