May 19, 2010 at 10:20 am #344012Dear chrixo!
The jacatslwi is a module using for display articles from categories, each items are linked to articles, It ‘s heavy customization to work for your idea, you need a good coder to do this :D.
I think that you switch to use the ja slwi which has functions same as the ja catslwi, but its’ content you can configure inside its configuration.
You can get this module inside the ja drimia template http://www.joomlart.com/demo/#templates.joomlart.com/ja_drimia
Good luck

October 19, 2010 at 6:28 pm #359588I needed the same thing – where the image with the text overlay links to a non-article page. So i downloaded and installed mod_ja_slwi. I setup this module for position user5 and configured it wth an image and text. It is also enabled. But nothing is showing up.
Is there something else that needs to be done? You can view it at: http://www.businessnearme.ca/
Thanks

October 28, 2010 at 1:25 pm #360906Hi Teinhc, thanks for the replay.
I know about catslwi module – that one shows the pictures and text from the articles and when someone clicks the picture it takes them to the article. I DO NOT want that. I want to show a picture with the text overlay on the home page and when they click on it I want it to go to a non-article page. So earlier in this thread from 05-19-2010 you mentioned using the slwi module from drimia template. Which I did. But when I installed and configured it – nothing shows up.
Thanks

November 2, 2010 at 6:59 pm #361430I had posted the link earlier: You can view it at: http://www.businessnearme.ca/ but you can’t see anything as it’s not showing up. It should show up above the breadcrumbs and below the slideshow.
I have attached a couple of screen shots – the slwiProblem.jpg show that it has a position the same as the original jacatslwi. The 2nd image slwiCfg.jpg shows the actual configuration of the slwi module. I have verified that the image associated with it is at the correct location on the server. Once I get this module working I plan on adding a couple more (for each image in the orginal jacatslwi module).
Please help with this ASAP as the customer is waiting for it.
Thanks
Janice-
