Hi there,

I want to create direct link from the Main Menu to specific content of Agora forum. Unfortunately, I can only create the link with the Agora forum main page rather the the specific content. Somehow the link box is locked and it won’t let me type the custom URL. Please find the attached image which illustrates my issues.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

If you change the Menu type as external link . you can provide any save any url for the Menu

Thanks for the reply. Changing menu type to external link has resolved the problem but it has created a new one. When i click the “index” page of Agora forum from breadcrumb, top menu and footer menu it takes me to 404 error page. Please find the attached image which illustrates the problem.

To see the problem in action, please go to http://www.onlinepointer.com. If you click the following link from the top drop down menu you will understand the problem better –

“DISCUSSION BOARD” –> “CHEAP BUYS” –> “NOTEBOOK”

When you click the above link it works fine and takes you to the specific thread as I wanted. However, when I click the INDEX link from breadcrumb, top menu and footer menu it takes me to 404 error page as it points to repeating URL (http://onlinepointer.com/index.php?http://onlinepointer_com/option=com_agora&id=13&Itemid=94).

Hope there is a quick solution for the problem.

Just replace the Itemid in the external Link of all the Forum Menu to Itemid=55

This is the solution.

For Ex:

This is there is no option for Agora to select the topic or category link [For Ex: you can select an Artcile, category , section in the Menu type, but you cannot do it in Agora forum ] in the Menu type.
