I have done lots of changes to the template for a client. In joomla’s admin/extensions manager/UPDATE, I do NOT want the template to appear as an update option. Updates for the other plugins shown in the list are ok and they can appear, but I dont want my client to accidentally update the template as this would over-ride my changes. I prefer to do the template updates myself manually. How can I prevent the template update from appearing in that Extension Manager Update list.

    Hello Maz001,

If you want to update our extensions and templates, please use our JA Extension Manager component, default Joomla update is only used for free extensions.

Then Go to tab Update >> Click to Purge Cache, Joomla fetches to new version of Template and won’t report to update new version.

But you should back-up all your customization to prevent any errors may appear.

So my client can’t accidentally update via joomla admin – that’s good!! But how can I stop the ‘update’ notice that comes up in joomla admin’s update page? I know it wont update, but still, i would prefer this notice not appearing at all. Thanks.

    Hi,

It was configuration of Joomla! Core, and i’m afraid that we can’t change anything.
