I have a client that I’m trying to drag (kicking and screaming) into the 21st Century. His current site is J1.5 with VM1. I’m building a new J2.5 with VM2 site for him on a T3 blank template with responsive enabled.

One of his many (many) gripes with the site is that there is no option to “switch to desktop” when he views the site on a mobile device. He would prefer to see the desktop version and then have to manually shrink to fit.

I don’t want to have to disable the responsive template if I can avoid it. Is there any way of providing him with a link, somewhere in the footer or similar, that will allow him to be the 1 user of thousands per day who will click on it?

    Thanks in advance,

    Christina Martin

    Hi Christina,

I am afraid you have to have responsive disabled in this case, since when enabled, the responsive T3 Blank template will automatically switch to the layout in accordance with the screen size.

    Hi Nazario,

Thank you for your answer. I had a horrible suspicion that it would be the case.

    Regards,

    Christina
