<block name=”mainnav” type=”mainnav” wrap-inner=”1″ main-inner=”2″></block>gives errors on pages

Of course this also means that all other JS pop-ups in components such as Jomsocial, stop working too.
If I turn Optimise JS Off, everything works again.
It ONLY happens by removing this mainnav block. So how can I safely remove this mainnav block without getting errors on the page?

May 28, 2011 at 8:54 am #393337Hi
That did not solve it. I manually removed all cache files, turned ON Optimise JS and went to site. JomSocial popups and other parts of the site do not work. Getting the same error Joms is undefifined. Also ‘Enable Development Mode’ is set to YES and Joomla cache is OFF too. Site is still under development.

May 28, 2011 at 9:25 am #393350Yes of course. I sentI ftp details to your message box.
The test site is here: http://74.53.251.98/~mytest01
As you can see the link JOMSO|CIAL in the header is where the problem is. In admin, I simply duplicated the default layout, removed the msinnav block, assigned layout to the BLUE template profile. Then linked this to the JomSocial menu link.
You will see an error in Explorer bottom bar. Also, going to any jomsocial member page, click send message and nothing happens.
If in admin we turn OFF JS Optimise, everything works.
I have repeated the problem on more test sites and still the same errors.

May 29, 2011 at 4:43 pm #393424Hi Kohand did you manage to take a look at the problem yet? I sent ftp details to your message box.
Alternatively how can I prevent the mainnav menu showing on some layouts. There is no option in Menu Type settings for NO menu.
