I originally liked the JA Social frontpage options of the image thumbnail and tweet/facebook plugins but I still can’t get the FB one to work on every page load and the tweet one make users create odd tweets with dashes for spaces. I’d like to have the frontpage work just like the blog category layout pages with full graphics as in the article.

I disabled the FB/Tweet widgets and that left empty space under the graphic due to the margin. I removed the ja-thumbnail and my images appear on the front page but the graphics are all overlapped onto text if I do that.

Is there a way with this theme to make the frontpage work just like the blog category layout pages with full graphics as in the article?

The frontpage layout is overridden in JA Social template to get a new layout. If you don’t want this layout, you can remove the override in template by remove/rename this folder: templates/ja_social/html/com_content/frontpage
