How do I activate the dropdown function in the menu in the top of the page?

And also, how can I get rid of the function in the bottom of the page, which changes the colours?

All of that can be done by editing the index.php file

Could you give some more info on what to edit inthe index.php file, the drop down menus work with v1.0 of the template and if i switch to v1.5 the menus dont work I only see the home tab.

I have seen people asking similar things but I haven`t seen a solution to the problem yet.
