February 6, 2009 at 1:06 pm #137856How do I find the URL of a published article without it being visable from the website front end?
is this even possible to have a live page that is hidden?
Example use.
I have a comparison table with a click here button. I want to direct users to the hidden article containing more info but only want them to access this via the afor mentione dlink????
Can anybody shed any light on this for me. Thanks.

February 6, 2009 at 1:21 pm #289923Hi telbino
Why not create a section/category for ‘hidden’ articles that are not in any menu?
Then just copy the URL for your button.
This is how I do it!

February 6, 2009 at 1:34 pm #289926You can just publish your article, and then just point to the ID number:
Do this like
www.mysitehere.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=10
Then just change the ID number to your article ID numer and it will show your article without it being in any menu.

February 6, 2009 at 3:07 pm #289945These guys are turbos for sure. Great answers. I’m also not so used to working with article IDs and will start using it more. It makes things easier.
Maybe this thread can be marked Answered?
