I would like to add another footer position to my template. I would love for it to look similar to the footer on this website http://disqus.com/vip/ so that i can just have a very large “Contact Us” form in the footer. Does anyone know how add module positions?

Take a look at this post for adding a module position.

In your case you have to add code for a new module in file layouts/blocks/footer.php
