    How do I add imagelinks to the mod_jaslideshow?

    Hi,

    Create a new folder in images/stories/NEWFOLDER/ this is not inside your template folder but in the main folder where Joomla is installed and upload pictures in it and go to Extensions / modules manager and click mod_jaslideshow and on the right side change the image location in Module parameter

    Keep in mind the size of the files and also edit accordingly in the module.

    Hope this helps,

    Thanks,

    Bytestor.

    When adding the description to go above the image, you specify the url there… for example:

    <p><span>TEXT GOES HERE AND HERE AND HERE<span>
    <span>AND MORE TEXT GOES HERE.<span>
    </p>

    Replace the # with the URL to the article.

    By the way, the description can be added to the image by going to Extensions, Modules, ja_slideshow. The description field is found at the bottom on the right.

    The url link in JA Slideshow is not working. You can’t get a link to the article page (or anyother link, really) . Does any one know better? How to get a proper link on the slideshow images to either outside or inside pages? I thought it was just a matter of copying the link to “#” but it is not working…

    I had the same problem, the URL part was not working with the example that the quickstart installation had. After much frustration, I simply hovered the mouse pointer over where it says “Description parameters” in the module configuration area. I followed the example that it had there, and it is working now.

    I don’t know why or how, but this makes it work for me. Maybe you can give this a try as well… Good luck with it.

    I did try it before but can not get it to work with links inside the site. So I had to try something else and now it’s working. It might not be an elegant solution but works. It goes like this. for now it gives me what I need

    <!– SS6 –>

    <a href=”yourURL”><h3><span>title</span></h3>
    <p><span>text</span></p>
    </a>

    jantunes – if it works, then it is elegant. 🙂

    On the other hand, it seems crazy that we have to continue to hack this together. I really wish someone at Joomlart would address it.
