February 4, 2016 at 2:36 am #875894Hi
In JA Mono there is special feature , It user article images in masthead to show the images .
In single article menu type it use the image from masthead .You can update the template to latest version if in single article type menu its not working .February 4, 2016 at 10:29 am #876228Hi,
I don’t want to insert images to my articles, they take much place and I’d like to keep my articles simple. That’s why I try to insert images directly into the masthead, and that’s where I encounter this very inconvient problem.
I had several updates propositions yet everytime I click on ‘update’ it show failure because of inexistant pathways, I just gave up on that. I’m sure we can figure this one out without inserting pictures into the articles.
Thanks

February 4, 2016 at 10:43 am #876254Hi
You can use JA Extension manager to update the template . Add your JA Accound user/pass in server manager > Joomlart updates . The update template select as JA updates .
Template is designed in this way In Menu child articles loads the picture from the articles . While single article menu type will use the masthead module .February 4, 2016 at 2:31 pm #876367Hi,
I changed the code at root/template/ja_mono/html/com_content/article, line 21 from ‘images/Joomlart/hero/bg-1.jpg’ to a picutre I chose for ONE article. Now the other articles can’t use the pictures I assigned in the mastehead module.
Is it hence possible that I add a few line in this document that designes certain article with certain picture?
And I’ll try the update after I fix this problem and back everything up.
Thanks a lot
February 4, 2016 at 2:51 pm #876398Hi,
So I found your reply early back on the 9th Decembre 2015 under the title ‘masthead does not work with Single Articles’ (https://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/masthead-does-not-work-with-single-articles/), from there you proposed ‘Hi if you do not want to use these feature u can renamed the article folder with to disable it Go to templatesja_monohtmlcom_contentarticle_old save and check now it will use default joomla article layout.’
It helped me loading the pictures I want for each article only one problem emergies:
Now the Menu Item shows not in the middle of the masthead but on top of the article, which takes place and breaks the structure.
Is there a way to fix that? Thanks

If you will remove the override then it use default layout of article and special feature and design no more work , I am afraid its work in this way.
February 5, 2016 at 8:31 am #876923Ok, bear with me. Approximately 20 min after I changed the name of ‘article’ to ‘article_old’, the orange layer effect came back convering the entire site, even the masthead that I ordered the background color to be transparent. So I had to change it back to ‘article’ and called it a day.
This morning I came to work and found that the layer on all the mastheads except for the single articles are gone and certain links that did not work before worked.
I have this impression that the template is like the ocean weather: not at all predictable. I tend to leave it as it be now because I want it to work but I’m very afraid that during my presentation to my director it’d crash for no apparent reason.
All to say that I appreciate much of your help and I’m sure I’ll be keeping posing questions. Thanks a lot 🙂
