March 30, 2010 at 3:14 pm #338466Hi Flumpy,
What you ask is not as simple as changing a single CSS line. What you want to do will require some moderately severe CSS surgery.
For example: goto CSS / TEMPLATE.CSS LINE 862
And change the hex code in RED below to whatever value you want.
#ja-container {
background:url("../images/container-bg.gif") repeat-x scroll center top #FFFFFF;
border-bottom:5px solid #CCCCCC;
position:relative;
z-index:5;
}
As you will see…while you’ve changed the color of most of the page…there are any number of modules, banners, headers, plugins, etc. that carry the white color as well…and each one of them will have to be changed individually.
It can be done…but a lot of work. If you are up for the challenge, then grab Firebug plugin for Firefox to help you identify the CSS areas to change!
Have fun!

I have warned the guy I am doing teh site for that this may be the case
I tried to explain that the site is made up of components and not all one static page
I will have a look at that change and seeI may have put him off for now
but expect we will be looking for another JA template with a suitable colour scheme – although I expect it doesn’t exist for pale mustard yellow!🙂

March 30, 2010 at 3:29 pm #338470If you can select a template that already comes in multiple styles and colors…that is much easier to change. Because while you may not like any of the colors of the template…you at least have the one CSS file where it’s simple to find and replace the color you do want.
Good luck,
John.March 30, 2010 at 6:52 pm #338490I haven’t taken the plunge with JA paid stuff yet
Do you know of a JA template with mustard/light yellow theme?
Ideally with the T3 framework – as that has helped me get the layout I needJohn Wesley Brett ModeratorJohn Wesley Brett

T-3 began with Teline III through the present + PurityII
Good luck.
