    Hi,

I want to have a video in a Custom HTML module, in the col-mass-top position, but only to display for a specific article.

How do I display the module in col-mass-top position when I open an article from the front page?

I only want to see a specific module for a specific article.

    Background:
The site is a news site and we want to be able to include video in our news articles.

    Current configuration:
    Joomla 1.7.3
    Teline IV

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Best Regards

    Mark

    hi
to load module only in case opened article you can use loadposition but put it into fulltext.
so in listview, introtext loaded will not show module with loadposition.

Loadpostition will not work if you want to load an article in a normal module position as the user here requests.

In this case Joomla already provides the tools. In the module manager on the left near the bottom you can set any module to appear on certain pages only. Great you may think but not quite as this list only includes menu’s, not individual articles. But that is simple to work around. In the menu manager you can create a new menu and in it put a new item ot type>article. You do not have to actually display this menu anywhere, just have the items published so you can then see your articles listed in the module manager.

    Here is the workflow

    Create your article
Add your new menu item in your hidden menu of type article
Go to the module manager and setup a new module to be displayed only on that menu item.

I do it for all the videos here for example – http://www.windsurf.me.uk/windsurfing-movie.html where the video module at the top is only displayed with its relavent article.

If you struggle to set it up simply drop me a PM with an admin login and link (please also include a link to this thread so I can find you quickly) and I will set one up for you as an example.
