December 12, 2008 at 4:58 am #282519Hi Helmer
Did you install the Quick Start data? This would give you a duplicate of the Telline II demo site.
Do you have a live URL I can look at?
December 12, 2008 at 10:49 am #282577Yes, i installed the Quick Start package, (very good indeed) and was working with the demo site included as a base for further exploration and testing, but somehow it looks like i managed to fiddle away the tabs from the front page.
Sorry to say, theres no URL to the site as of now, it is residing on a closed and private server. But if you look at the demo site there are tabs in the lower ja-news module that says World, Sports, Technology, Life and Style and so on. I want them back, but cant figure out how to get them back  Should i add a module? In that case, which one, and in what position?

December 12, 2008 at 6:05 pm #282631In the template contols (Extensions -> Template Manager -> JA_Teline_II’ set the ‘Menu Type’ to ‘magazine’.
Hope this helps,
Jason.
December 13, 2008 at 11:24 am #282767Thanks Jay973, but that has already been done. It didnt help…..
EDIT: I feel that i am a bit unclear with what i want to do. Category tabs might not be the correct word, maybe it should be Section tabs instead? Like it is on the demo page, tabs for each section present in the top menu.

December 13, 2008 at 11:53 am #282772Hi helmer
Take a look at my site (address in signature) and try to tell us what is happening on my site that isn’t on yours!
Cheers
ChrisDecember 13, 2008 at 1:11 pm #282784Nice and clean layout there, Chris! My test site looks basically the same (different content of course 😉 ) but i am missing the Property, Lifestyle, Legal and Finance, Member Area, Travel etc. clickabale images on front page. The ones i call “tabs” (not a correct name for them). I also have the Allvideo plugin enabled and working.
December 17, 2008 at 3:36 pm #283248Still no working suggestion on how to fix this issue? I´m pretty sure it´s something i´ve forgot to do, but what?

December 18, 2008 at 5:57 am #283302Just a thought. If you go to Module Manager and open the ‘JA News’ module (make sure it’s enabled of course!!), and check that it is assigned to ‘all’ menus here:
Also, in the parameters, check that everything appropriate is set to ‘Show’:
Let me know if that makes a difference!
Cheers
ChrisDecember 18, 2008 at 10:31 am #283344Once again my warm thanks for your efforts to help me! I checked what you suggested, and the parameters was all exactly as your pictures shows. No difference there, and still no clickable pictures in ja_news

December 18, 2008 at 2:47 pm #283365Hi helmer
This is really weird. I would suggest you open a support ticket to get help from somebody more qualified than I 🙂
Maybe a developer could get on the case!
Hope you get this sorted
Chris1 user says Thank You to questbg for this useful post
December 20, 2008 at 5:11 am #283551Thanks again Chris, your advices are much appreciated. I´ll might open a support ticket, but first of all i think i will do a total reinstallation of the whole shabang just in case i´ve messed something up myself. If the problem persists after that i´ll consider a ticket. You are the best!

December 20, 2008 at 5:14 am #283553I agree. Probably go back to the QuickStart content and take it from there! Probably quicker than trying to figure out what’s gone wrong!
Good Luck with the site.

December 20, 2008 at 11:49 pm #283657this has happened to me too. All of a sudden one day – these ja-news items stopped appearing. I’m sure it is a setup issue but I cannot figure it out. I have tried setting up category ids and also section ids to see if that had something to with it (I did not mix section ids with category ids). I’m stumped.

December 21, 2008 at 12:09 am #283659ok before you re-install – here’s what I did. I flagged the ‘Add Module CSS’ field to ‘yes’. This is the second field in lower section of the module parameters screen. Give it a try. I had reversed the order of my ja-news and ja-newsfp modules and no change, but when I flagged this field, they magically appeared.
