February 4, 2014 at 9:30 pm #194474Ultimately, what I’m really trying to do is alleviate the below behavior which appears on an iPad in portrait view (an a few other Responsive Views).
Because the text in my footer-1 and footer-2 menu items are quite long, I added a couple classes to my CSS and applied them as module class suffixes. These increased the width of footer-1 and footer-2 and added a margin to footer-2 to give it room to display the text in footer-1. This works great, but causes the behavior you see below in the screenshot.
Is there a better way to achieve the result of extending the width of footer-1 and footer-2 without causing the strange behavior in responsive mode (maybe the module class suffixes are not the best way to go)?
I am not currently using footer-3, so footer-2 can extend and use that extra space to accommodate for the long text in my menu items. Would removing footer-3 in responsive mode help?
Your help here would be so very very much appreciated. I have literally worked on this for hours trying to figure it out, and I’m all out of ideas, and quite frustrated.
If anyone is overwhelmed by this request, maybe it’s possible to pass on a message to the CSS Magician? He seems to have some very good insight and solution… as do all of you 🙂
I have included my login credentials just in-case removing the module class suffix is necessary.
Thank you kindly in advance.
