Someone pls help me!

I’m using a two-column (Main + Right), narrow screen configuration. I discovered the Right Position was too narrow (20%), so i increased it to 25% while decreasing the Main Content Area width from 79.9% to 75% to account for the change.

The problem now is that i have this fixed border constant around the former 20% position of the right block. I’ve tried everything i can but just can’t seem to get it off. I’d appreciate if someone can help me fast.

Hi

After following the provided link and checking the site with Firebug I came to the conclusion that the size of your slide show images might be causing this problem. To confirm this, simply disable the slide show and check.

Let me know the outcome

Thanks Tony for checking on my problem …

I already tried turning the slideshow module off, but the problem still persisted.

Any other clues, pls?

Hi

Go into the template manager and the template parameters, make sure you set the screen width to wide.

This should be interesting to see if it works. I’ve been checking your site further.

Thanks Tony, but i specifically chose narrow width ‘cos that’s how i want it. I dont have much content so a wide screen will look so empty.

Ok here is the solution, I recreated the problem on my local server and this is how I resolved it. This is in your template.css file.

I already tried that also …. much earlier. It didn’t solve the problem, only got things worse. Pls take a look at my present template.css code below and see if you take it up from there.

Hi

The css code below is an improved version of the one you posted, it renders ok in both Firefox and Safari but I’m afraid IE6 refuses to play ball. I didn’t get the chance to test it with IE7. I would have like to solve this one completely, time permit, but at the moment I’ve got a lot on my plate to get on with. Update your css with this one you may be able to crack it from here or use the premium support service currently being advertise by Joomlart, is free for members, I think.
