February 2, 2014 at 4:50 am #194379Hello,
I am having a very hard time with the article parameters. I have been looking through the Joomla documentation on article parameters found on this page.
According to this document, the actual article parameter should be the overriding parameter— to draw an accurate analogy, the “inline style” so to speak. If this is set to Global , then the menu parameter is checked. If the menu is set to Global, then the Article Options parameters are checked. This checking should not happen unless the specific article parameter set to Global. If there is a value in the specific article parameter like “Yes” or “No,” that should be the controlling parameter setting.
For some reason, this is not working. I have a featured article on the homepage (Welcome to Keystone Logic) of my website. Within the parameters of that specific article, I have a value of “No” for Linked Titles. This is not disabling the linked nature of that article. I need that article to not be linked because there is no additional text aside form what is showing on the homepage. Clicking that title takes you to a page which is pointless and redundant.
How do I make this article NOT have a linked title? :((
There is no menu item for this article. Even when I create a menu item for this article and set that menu parameter to hide, the title is still linked.
I need all other articles to have linked titles, which is why I have the Master Article Options parameter set to “Yes.”
Your help is very much appreciated. 🙂
Best,
Zechariah

That featured article belongs to Home menu item so that you need to disable Link Title in article option of this Home menu item.
I just set it for you and the title is not linked now: http://prntscr.com/2pdxgd
