September 22, 2014 at 11:41 pm #201524I cannot make my JA Univerisity template site multilingual. I have two templates set up (JA University English and JA University German) but whatever menu I assign in one version also changes the menu in the other.

September 23, 2014 at 3:14 am #550448I just fixed the problem directly on your site. Below are steps to do
+ Create Defaultgerman profile
+ Set that profile with Menu Type: Top – Deutsch menu
+ Assign Defaultgerman profile with top-de menu items.
Now, The menu of your site is working fine with English, German languages

September 23, 2014 at 11:35 am #550507It suddenly stopped working again. The problem is that the menu only works on either the English or the German side.
I need the ‘top-de’ menu to work with the ‘JA University (German)’ template and the ‘top-en’ menu with the ‘JA University (English)’ template.
I also need both in /top-en/news/ and in /top-de/news/ the setting for ‘Hide Main content block’ set to YES.

September 25, 2014 at 7:11 am #550695:(( As I can see on your site that you’re using so many menus (26 menus) while JA T3v2 framework uses ajax script to load menus, and it supports limited number of menus. In this case, it will be hard to load all menus and I could not select Defaultgerman profile with top-de menu.

September 25, 2014 at 11:42 am #550742What’s the maximum number of menus I can use? I have already reduced the number of menus to twelve only. Please try again.
I unsuccessfully tried to assign the German menus to the ‘germandefault’ template layout, ‘germanhome’ to http://therebel.org/de/news and ‘home’ to http://therebel.org/en/news but the template manager did not accept any of those selections.
Is there a way to enter those values into the ‘template’ table in MySQL Administrator if the template manager can’t do it?

September 26, 2014 at 4:06 am #550806I see the best menu items on site are about 120 menu items
But you can backup all your site first, then you can move all English menus to trash and go to JA University(German) Template and set Defaultgerman profile and with all German menus.
After that go to Menu bar and move all English menus from trash to publish
Hope it helps

September 26, 2014 at 9:35 am #550842I was able to select a number but apparently not all necessary menus for ‘defaultgerman’. I wasn’t able either to select for ‘home’ http://therebel.org/en/news nor was I able to select ‘homegerman’for ‘http://therebel.org/de/news. What’s worse is that the ‘top-de’ is still now showing when I change the language to German.

September 29, 2014 at 3:52 am #550946I just counted menu items in your site and see it has over 500 menu items on that. You can see the problem with many menu items from JA University setting
Did you try to use my solution #6?
You need to disable all English menu items and set top-de menu with Defaultgerman profile.
