Hi
Open template folder/html/com_content/magazine.php file to edi the layout.
In the menu option of Magazine layout, you can see all the configurations as mentioned here

Dear Mod

There are no magazine.php file in the template folder/html/com_content,but /templates/purity_iii/html/com_content/category/magazine.php

Im not a coder, so I readly not know how to do now, hic hic.

Hi
In menu setting panel, we add extra fields that allow you to add masthead to the menu item. Then extra fields are in Page Display tab.
Here is documentation helps you.
