If we have an article set to not show the category, author, date, etc. it still shows bar under the title. Is there a way to get rid of that when the options are set to hide but have it show if not?

Check in the article and in the category options if all is set to Hide

yep, both article and menu link is set to hide. I don’t know if this matters but it only shows up on the Featured page if I have those all set to Hide. I created an article and menu link to that article and it didn’t show up.
