    I have a image in mod_custom… I set the module to User1 position, but i cannot figure out if i need to edit the CSS from the mod_custom or the block ja-botsl? I want the image to have no spacing bottom or top and be flush against the other positions.

    Here is an image:

    if you reduce either padding or margin you will get it done in template.css file.

    if you need any further assistance, please provide me your site Url. Will provide you the code for it

    Hallo robnob,

    I had a play with the css in Chrome but I’m not really sure if I get what you want to achieve. I attach a foto – ignore the fact that the logo is under the menü – I did this to get the margins correct and properly in line (if that is what you want!)

    Here is the code in template.css @ line 1037

    #ja-topsl .main-inner1 {
    margin-bottom: -10px;
    margin-top: -31px;
    }

    I hope that is what you wanted!

    Thanks for Trying, Swissa – but it didn’t change anything.
    I’m not sure why?? Any ideas?

    I can’t see your site anymore although I can see you css file and you’ve done the change. The only 2 things I can think of are 1. cache – clear JAT3 and the browser and 2nd, if you are using an override or theme then check the css for the theme. Otherwise as you can see from my image (and I am useless with grafiks so wouldn’t be able to fake it!) I did it using that code! :confused:

    :((

    Hi robnob

    Could you provide me your site address ?

    As swissa said, you should disable cache mode before you change anything.

    Thanks Swissa-

    I have disabled cached and turn css optimize off

    I do have an override theme (with the ugly background that i need to change – experimenting – haha)
    I have added the above code to the override theme as well – still nothing. I’ve played with a bunch of settings using firebug w/o success.

    Do-Ha the URL i am testing is: big3fantasy.com/Boston-Celtics.html
    Thanks

    Hi robnob,

    have you cleared all your browser cache too?

    In Chrome:-

    In Safari:-

    Sorry, I cannot test on IE as I don’t have Windows.

    That is sooo odd!
    I am viewing the site in both IE and Firefox. I don’t see the changes in either.
    I’ve cleaned my browsing history, rebooted, you name it.

    Need to ensure not browsing history but the actual cache files are clean. I just tested using my ipad and it looks perfect too robnob! Maybe you run through a proxy server somewhere that is caching content. For me all look very good and it does what you want it to!! Even the ugly background! 😀

    Don’t know what else to suggest to you but is definitely a cache problem I think!

    Thanks for all of your efforts Swissa…. Unfortunately – the changes are only made in chrome and safari and not IE or Firefox. Very weird. I’ve tried 3-4 different computers and still nothing.

    If anyone else has any suggestions – please let me know. Thank you

    Wow. :(( I’m sorry I couldn’t help you more robnob. Now I know why I don’t use IE!! 😉

    FYI – Firefox on mac. I played with Firebug a little (I don’t use this normally)

    There is a rule at line 368 that I don’t know if it will help but it worked on my mac firefox.

    .ja-moduletable img { margin-bottom: -8px;
    margin-top: -10px;
    }

    EDIT – If you do this set the other one back to original otherwise it doesn’t look good in Chrome/Safari – Sorry for not seeing it earlier but glad I have learnt something too! – EDIT

    I don’t know if it will affect other modules and images though so this is a untested solution!!
    Other than that I am full out of ideas and already exceeding my experience!! 😉

    Best of luck with it robnob!

    You paste this block css in the end of templates/ja_methys/css/template.css

    #ja-topsl {
    margin-top: -50px;
    }

    #ja-topsl .main {
    padding-top: 0px;
    padding-bottom: 0px;
    }

    #ja-topsl .ja-moduletable, #ja-botsl .ja-moduletable {
    margin: 0px 20px;
    }

    Clean T3 cache, Joomla cache, and browser cache. Surf to your site.
