    Hello,

I have been trying to figure out how to set up menus with my JA_Community_Plus template. I started out with dropline menus which I liked, but somehow I inadvertently switched the main menu to a “split menu” style, which I do not want. Now I don’t know how to set my main menu back to a drop down. I’ve been looking everywhere I can think and I cannot find a place where it tells me: Here is where you set the style of menu you want. Ultimately, I’d like an easy way to try out the four styles – dropline, mega menu, split menu and css menu so I can learn about their pros and cons and decide which I want. This too requires knowing how to switch between them. But most of all, I just want to set my website back to the dropline style for my main menu.

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you!

    Greetings Hank:

You select the menu scheme you want within your Template Manager–Profiles Tab–Menu Settings

You then select the type of menu navigation function you want.

    Hope That Helps.

    🙂

How about changing the menu style only for a subset of the menu items? Like when you click on the “split menu” under menu showcase the menu style changes immediately. is this available through a setting or is it a “hook” for demo purposes?

I like to think that virtually ANYTHING is possible – and it’s usually a matter of the appropriate coding and conflict resolution to get it to function properly.

What you’re asking would not be a simple task … but I’m thinking it could be accomplished. You might consider throwing the idea up at JOOMLANCERS to see if any more advanced coders might be able to tackle the idea/project.
