I can see how to create menu items with the full width wrapper by going into each module and de-selecting the wrapper pages in which I don’t want them to appear.
My question is: how can I get each of the different layout options that appear on the demo, such as Masscol +2 Col, Masscol+1 Col, 2 Right Cols, etc.?

July 27, 2007 at 10:02 pm #225340Did you use the Quickstart package? If so, all demo content should be there.
July 28, 2007 at 12:45 am #225350I have the quickstart package but don’t know how to use it. I unzipped it, but when I try to open it in dreamweaver, the program won’t read the files . How do you get to these files. This is the first time I’ve ever seen documentation in dreamweaver files.

It was meant to be installed on your server with PHP and MySQL. You can also install it locally using a program called JSAS, http://jsas.joomlasolutions.com/. I have only read about one person who uses Dreamweaver to do editing with their Joomla website but what he did was copy the HTML and then post it into his Joomla website. There are a number of different WYSIWYG editors available for Joomla besides the one that is included in your Quickstart package. This package and just about anything you see here on JoomlArt were never intended to be opened and edited in Dreamweaver.
July 28, 2007 at 4:19 pm #225411What are the steps to install the quickstart package on my server? Why don’t they include instructions for this stuff? I’m sure the vast majority of users are not software engineers!

You don’t need to be a software engineer, just need to search the forums for info, instead of complaining.
there is a video tutorial on installing paritti to a live site at the new tutorials section its the same procedure for all the quickstart packages, how do I know, I made it 🙂

if after watching it you still cannot figure out how to do it, then I’d reconsider a life as a web designer
