    Hi,
    Could you give me a link to your page as you said?

    I actually was just working on this exact same issue for another member . . .

    The slideshow background is created using an image as part of the background property within the following file path –>

    /modules/mod_jaslideshow2/assets/themes/ironis/style.css – at line 15

    <blockquote>.ja-slidewrap_ironis {
    background: url(body_black.gif) repeat left top;
    }
    </blockquote>

    You can either create a new custom image …. or, you can try deleting the image path and replacing it with a color code (like the previous examples above)

    Are there CSS files within the folder structure for the slideshow component you are using?

    Having a difficult time accessing the CSS info for that component via Firebug or Chrome Inspector

    What you would need to do is look through the css relative to the slideshow – and figure out which rule/class deals with the background color. It shouldn’t be too difficult to figure out – there should be a rule with a “background” color property of “#000”, which is the color hex code for black . . . or another color code for a dark color.

    Sometimes the investigating and trial-and-error part/process can be the most fun – and rewarding.

    😎
