I would like to turn off the posted dated and by author on an article, this does not seem to be honoring the settings within the article parameter, is there a mos tag or something I need to add to the article to turn it off?

you will have similar article parameters in Menu and then in each article. please do hide those option in both the pages.

If it is not working, post your admin details in PM, I will resolve it for you and let you know what was done

Now I feel silly, I knew that and missed it! Was thinking it had to be something tricky with the template and totally missed the basic stuff.
