    I would like my categories menu in place of where the top navigation is. Since the top nav and the main menu have the same links,, I will enable the main menu on the left and disable the top menu so there is a place for the categories to go across the top. Most major retail sites use this format

    there is simple to do it . you create link to categories of virtuemart in main menu . now , top nav is main menu , you only create menu item in main menu and link it to categories of Virtuemart.

    Is it possible to get the top nav to have a drop down menu for the catagory links I just created. I want subcatagories to pop down. Im trying to do the same thing as http://www.circuitcity.com/

    ok I firgured it out… where the demo content section was (with the links pages in side) I will copy and link my product pages to it.
