October 30, 2012 at 8:03 pm #471484Hi HeRo,
I followed your instructions, but it doesn’t work, and I have a feeling it is because I can’t read the word just before “non-content” in the extended class in your graphic

Is the word “hilite”?
I used hilite but the article title and intro text still shows,
Let me know – thanks!

If #masonry-container .no-content .item-main { display: none; } do not work, please change to #masonry-container .no-content .item-main { display: none !important; }Regards,

October 31, 2012 at 3:20 am #471507oops – now it is working, was a delay affect, and I assume hilite was correct after all – thanks Hero and Arucardx for helping with this!
Wondering how I can insert a:
|———- Publicidad | Advert ———-|
just above the image , in cases like this…any ideas?

<blockquote>Wondering how I can insert a:

October 31, 2012 at 1:04 pm #471568Hi Hero,
I have used Joomlancers a few times, with good success, but of course, paying money, which I have no problem doing if it is a project that warrants it.
Is it just me, or does adding a line of ASCII text justify “needing a good developer” – especially when banners have been a part of the web for wall over 15 years now. Why does JA WALL not have something built in for this? Talk about reinventing the wheel! There are plenty of other custom situations where custom work is warranted. Just my thoughts, wouldn’t you agree in principle? thanks.

October 31, 2012 at 1:36 pm #471574A metaphor about reinventing the wheel in your post above is as followed.
It’s like going to Ikea to buy a display rack with the alternate intention to use it as a computer table, but it weren’t really designed in mind to be used as a computer table so you had some problem getting the idea to work when you attempted to assemble the pieces together thus you return to Ikea for support.
They attempted to help by pointing out additional custom parts you will need to assemble the idea together, but then you rebuke asking why the need to pay for additional parts when in the first place those parts should have been included so someone can use the display rack as a computer table.

October 31, 2012 at 3:05 pm #471582Thats a good one Arucardx but when it comes to a banner, which is a fundamental part of the web, it could easily be argued that it is more like buying a table with a missing leg!:) cheers

if you scroll down to about article 26 on the wall, you will see a image that says “Support Joomla”
How can I hide the title and intro text?
I already changed the options in “Article Options” to:
Show Title : HIDE
Show intro text: HIDEbut they still show up,
Thanks</blockquote>
If you want this behavior for all category blog list views of featured items on the home page, you can modify the template override for featured items. In the case it would be template_name/html/com_content/article/default_item. Look for the following line and comment it out.
Change:
<?php echo $this->item->introtext; ?>
To:
<?php // echo $this->item->introtext; ?>
-
