By default this template loads all the css and js files used in the template on the 1st visit.
My pages loaded slow since so much extra junk was included.

I’m pretty sure this is a bug in the template. By mixing and matching global template settings I have got that file size down to 250 k. I’ve managed to duplicate the feat several times but I’m still working o the formula of what to do in what order.

I wasn’t able to trigger the expected behavior until I added a component and position into the cache exclude. I think other factors are at play. But the addition of items to the cache exclude has been part of each solution. my server settings that may be part of this are to turn off url rewrting and Search Engine Friendly URLs

By page load I mean all the css,js and unnecessary pngs that are fed to the template by default. My goal is to serve a page that only has the js,css, needed– rather than feed them the whole site’s worth of css,js, etc in the 1st visit.

    The url is http://www.crimescene.com
