June 11, 2007 at 7:17 pm #221906Cant i get the template installed?
June 11, 2007 at 9:56 pm #2219131. Download the template
2. Login to Joomla! admin
3. Go to Installers > Templates – Site
4. Browse for the zipped template file
5. Install
6. Go to Site > Template Manager >Site Templates > Select the JA template>DefaultThis will not look exactly like the demo.
It may be an idea to read the manual at http://help.joomla.org

June 12, 2007 at 7:40 am #221947Some “easy” templates are almost install and then it is like the demo. The more advanced ones need more tweaking and perhaps use the quickinstallation guide ( sql dump and all info from the demo ) This is a rather quick way of getting the exact look of the demo.
I usually spend about 15 minutes on new templates to get them looking the way I want. Less time for the easier templates.

June 13, 2007 at 10:12 am #222057You can install Joomla yourself. It is pretty straightforward, depending on your host supporting Joomla… ( php, mysql and so on.. )
You would have to have Joomla installed in order to install Joomla templates to it and of course the Joomlart templates. I suggest reading a bit more about Joomla and how it works over at http://www.joomla.org and also by installing it you will learn heaps of important stuff to be able to fine tune the site to your needs.
If you are not looking for doing all the job, you can hire someone to do this for you for about 40-100 USD for installing Joomla and the templates ( and maybe even tweak it somewhat )
Good luck and welcome aboard!!

No you will not have to preinstall anything. Just give us your host detail (you will be asked in the purchase step) and everything will be ready for you within 24 hours.
Just a note: This is a template installation service not Joomla standard installation. -
