    Hello,

    in this article:

    http://173.254.15.37/index.php/adventure/132-aconcagua/17871-aconcagua

..many of our users see it on a lower bandwidth connection, so images like the “fun and interesting map” take a few seconds (or more!) to appear but the user see’s the words “fun an interesting map” right away.

How can I make it where it either says “image loading” (where the image is supposed to load”, or show the “spinning wheel” that users see on the front page during lazy load?

    Thank you

    HI seaneo,

If you enable LazayLoad, it should work like that. When viewing above link in my local, it loads fine so I don’t know which image has this issue.

    Regards.

    Hi Saguaros,

Does Lazyload automatically work for the whole site if it is working for the home page?.

I do have it working on the home page but it does not make any kind of appearance in articles that I can see.

The reason the page loads quickly for you is because you probably have first world bandwidth connection…here in Argentina we are used to 1MB speed – crazy!

Let me know if you think I need to engage Lazyload for regular article pages also, I don’t see that option right away anywhere

    Thanks!

    Hi seaneo,

It does work but it depends on how you configure in backend settings of this plugin (Backend > Extensions > Plugin manager > JA System Lazyload Plugin, check Basic Options inside:

Lazyload min-width: Minimum width of images which will be applied lazyload
Failure Limit: After scrolling page Lazy Load loops though unloaded images. In loop it checks if image has become visible. By default loop is stopped when first image below the fold (not visible) is found. This is based on following assumption. Order of images on page is same as order of images in HTML code. With some layouts assumption this might be wrong. You can control loading behaviour with failure_limit option.
Sensitivity: By default images are loaded when they appear on the screen. If you want images to load earlier you can set Sensitivity parameter. Setting Sensitivity to 200 causes image to load 200 pixels before it is visible.

Pls check out again these and change to your desired settings.

    Regards.

    Hi Saguaros,

Thanks but the actual problem I have is that the little graphic wheel doesn’t show when waiting for images on this page:

    http://173.254.15.37/index.php/accomodations/17861-where-to-sleep

On the other hand it works just fine on the home page.

I did check through those settings you mentioned but did not see a reference to it.

Your help would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks!

Ok I see I have version lazy load 1.01 and that there is reference to a 1.03 on joomlart, but I cannot see where to download the plugin – where is it? thanks

You can update this plugin by using JoomlArt Services in JA Extension Manager component. http://easycaptures.com/fs/uploaded/743/4999355720.png

    wow – very strange –

    this is what I did:

    1) I went to Componets > Ja Extensions Manager
    2) I found JA System Lazyload Plugin and upgraded from 1.01 to 1.03 – see graphic

    3) But in plug-in manager, it still shows 1.01 – see graphic

What could I have done wrong?

    Thanks

    HI seaneo,

As I can see from your backend, the version of JA Lazyload system plugin has been: 1.0.3: http://easycaptures.com/fs/uploaded/748/5093252132.png already.
