    Hi all.

How does one access the administrative backend of JA Larix after performing a quickstart install of it? I can’t seem to locate a button or link to it at the site. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,

you can follow the url similar to this:
for example, this is your site url: http://www.yoursite.com
so the administrator panel will be like this: http://www.yoursite.com/administrator
The username always is admin for the first time and the password is the Administrator password you’ve type in the installation process.

Don’t forget to change the password too 🙂

Just wanted to say thanks. I never thought to set an absolute URL. Great tip.

Michael. I’m aware of only one password. It is associated with the mySQL user that I had created for the Joomla install ( required ). This is an admin account, of course. Is there another password which I should be aware of and that needs to be changed? I haven’t created other accounts.

    * Bye the way. I’m still trying to customize the JA_larix site to look like the quickstart version. This exercise is familiarizing me with the enviornment. It’s just taking me a while.

    Cheers!

No, that’s fine mate. The other password’s are yours, and aren’t given to us or anything like that. The only password set is the admin account which you should change yourself.
