Hello…
Thanks for the template… I would like to add a menu item that just loads a single k2 category called blog…. Basically… I am trying to find a way to add a simple blog view to this template?!?!
I would like the styling to be the same if possible and keep just the top “main menu”…. Otherwise I would just switch the template for that menu item?
Curious on your thoughts of the best way to do this? Template override for k2 somehow maybe? Not sure?
Thanks,
Ryan

May 8, 2013 at 10:31 am #492234This way you add K2 Category to the Menu
1) Menus > Main Menu
2) Select New and then K2 from the list and then Categories from the drop down list
3) Enter Title of the Category and Select Parent Item from the list.
4) In the Select Category field select specified Category from the drop down list.
5) Select Save. The Category is now visible in the Menu Item Manager. Select Preview to view Category from the front endMay 9, 2013 at 6:27 pm #492370Thanks for helping… I tried the basic steps as you mentioned before opening this thread… And also I just double checked now following your exact steps… However… All I see when I click the menu item that points to the k2 layout is the hero unit (section 1) and then the contact map under it… Pic attached?!?
There is no k2 content present on the page!!?
May 9, 2013 at 6:35 pm #492371After looking further I can see that the two modules that appear on my k2 page are the two that are assigned to be on all pages…. Section 1 and Gmap
I however… Don’t see any content from k2?
I understand how to assign modules to onepage and have them show up… But I am looking to not have ANY of the modules from the homepage loaded…. AND JUST have the basic k2 category view load…
Thanks again for helping!

May 10, 2013 at 4:33 am #492401You can not add component into hero unit(section) because it only support module.
If you want to include component(into hero unit), maybe you need to more customize about and feel sorry that your request exceeds the scope of our service.
About add new module into hero unit(section) you can have a look at the user guide for reference: http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/ja-one-page-template-userguide/
