Hello,

We’re wondering how to best add a small mailing list signup form to the top right of the edenite template, basically in the white space to the right of the logo.

Also, ideally this would only affect the home page.

What files would we add this to, and will this be done with CSS?

Try this module:
http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/communication/mailing-&-distribution-lists/6414/details
in the position: top.

It’s quite a simple extension that keeps a record of all subscribers, and that’s about it!
It’s small and simple to use, and if you change module parameters to just Home, then it should only appear on the Home Page.
