Hi,
I would like to add an extra one line to go on top of the current footer line in the template, because I want to add links to our About Us, Privacy Policy etc
I have looked in this forum and there is only instructions to modify the current footer content, not add an extra line and have it centered like the existing footer line
Can someone please advise what to change in the template code to allow me to do
this?Thank you

January 6, 2009 at 4:03 pm #284921you can either do this by editing the footer.php which you can find in the templates folder (or another sub folder in there).
I think you’ll find it in:
ftp root -> templates -> your template folder -> html -> mod_footer -> footer.php OR default.php
OR
you can install this:
http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/style-&-design/design/4393/details

January 8, 2009 at 8:21 am #285356thanks anisjolly for your reply and pointing me to the custom footer extension,
I have checked it out and it will be useful, but it also adds a copyright notice automatically to the first line of your footer if you put anything in the first line text input box, so it would require editing the existing footer in the template to remove the copyright notice if possible.

January 8, 2009 at 11:02 am #285407just wanted to point out that you should have purchased the correct membership package before you can remove the footer (designed by…) from your template.
Check in your members area to see if your package allows this as i think the JATC Standard Membership does NOT allow you to remove the footer.
Only the Developers package allows you to remove the footer. BUT if you do have the JATC package then you can purchase a ‘Copyright Removal’ package for a small fee.
You can find all of the details from within your member’s area.

I actually dont want to remove the existing copyright notice from the template, all I want to do is
add an extra line with my own links to go with the existing footer.:) -
