    I want to have a menu item next to the search box just like in the picture. I tried to use a menu module but it shows the items as list (vertical) instead of horizontal. I want it to look like the one on the ja community demo.

    I need guidance/help.

    You can assign menu module along with menu style selected as list and leave menu/module class suffix as blank

    It doesn’t have an option to select list as menu style. Attached is how it looks… I am using Joomla 1.6.

    Ok, I assumed that you were using J 1.5. For J1.6, You can go on to add horizontal as menu class suffix for specific module and then, add this at end of template.css file::

    ul.menuhorizontal li{float:left;margin:0 5px;}
