In the first screen shot below, you will see that the menu has three columns of submenus, and they are displaying in a staggered manner. I would prefer to have them display in one column (or two if it’s too long). As you can see in the second screen shot, my other menu displays its submenus in a single column, as I would like. How do I go about doing this.

PS. I’m new to Joomla, so I will need some detailed help.

You can change the column from the Megamenu options in the template settings.
Here is the documentation of the mega menu helps you to do this configuration.
