I would like to adjust the width of an article page, say 700. Then I can have more space at right column to put more stuff.

Hi danie,

You can try as follows
open templates/ja_rasite/css/template.css file then do a search this css
#ja-mainbody {}

change it to
#ja-mainbody { width:700px !important;}
