July 18, 2012 at 3:30 pm #179205Hello,
I know this is very basic question but I have been searching for information and trying to solve it and I cannot manage to do it. The information on the web is so huge that I’m a bit lost. So, the question is: when using JA News Pro how to avoid the blog/list category that Joomla brings.
I have a menu item and I have assigned a module to this menu item (one module of JaNews pro), but the category list is still apearing under the JA News Pro module. I managed to do it with the front page, but not with the category list.
The other questions is: does this template and modules (Ja News Featured and Pro) support multilingual uses?
Many thanks
Mercè

The category list is referring to a menu item and in the template back-end you can assign that menu item to a profile and finally in the profile setting you selected ” Hide Main content block” to Yes.

yes, the template and module support what Joomla itself supported 🙂1 user says Thank You to Sherlock for this useful post

July 19, 2012 at 10:34 am #461466Thanks a lot. It works! 🙂 But the problem now is that it hides too the articles that have to appear in the main content block.
there must be something I’m missing.Mercè

Well, it doesn’t dissapear now, is just that when clicking, articles appear now under the modules, in the same page, not on a new page.
I’m working to find the solution.Mercè

July 19, 2012 at 1:15 pm #461482I don’t know what was happening but it seems I have solved. I just deleted the module that was giving me problems and I created a new module. I explain it this just in case someone has the same problem.
Cheers
Merce
