I’m curious as to what people are using to block countries from website access. I’m personally looking to block Russia & China. I have been getting most of my “Fake accounts” being made from there and I’m tired of deleting them. However I don’t want to use a method that is going load my server down with tons of IP checks every time someone visits.

If you’re blocking countries what’s your method?

Are you using any security options to prevent automaticly user creations like captcha?

Im not really banning certain countries currently for most my site’s there a decent captcha will do.

Hmm, I thought I did but turns out it was not showing up for virtuemart registration. I’ll have to look for a captcha that works with virtuemart signup. Though I’m still going to block China & Russia don’t plan on selling to either country 😉
