    Greetings Team!
    Quick Question:
Lets say I wanted to change the default color scheme of the entire Teline site to for example: the “lime” color setting ???
How & Where can I accomplish this?

Have you guys looked in the template.css file? I modified the background color and some others areas from here.

I don’t know whats wrong with me but I am still struggling with this. I used to have Teline II and had no problem changing the template color scheme to green… Please help me with this….

Well, I figured out how to change the surrounding background color, but changing the entire theme color to “Lime” seems to be a whole other issue. I would have thought we’d get a response pretty fast on this, but I guess this isn’t part of the forethought that went into the development of Teline III.

Looking forward to learning more about this from the JA Team ( Anyone Home?! )
Please see my original post for this thread…

The only way to customize color scheme is editing CSS filles. Open template CSS files with a code editor, find the main default colors that you wanna change, use Find & Replace tool in the code editor to replace them with new color scheme. It would take less than 5 minutes.

    Hi all,

I guess that the change to the color scheme you are looking for is to be found in the JA News2 module params. Go to the module manager, click the JA News2 module and change the “Section Ids” params. The tooltip specifies that the params here: “Selects Items From A Specific Section Or Set Of Sections, Line By Line. In Each Line, Put Id And Color Theme, Seperated By A : (example Of Settings In Demo Site: 13:red 14:orange 8:deepblue 12:cyan 5:green 9: pink 11:lime)”

So, just change them all to pink if you’d like. Leaving the Section Ids without color info will just give you the default black.

    Hope this helps 😉

    Cheers,

    Anders

OK, this is what I did to accomplish the original topic of this thread:

    Go to –
    templates/ja_teline_iii/css/colors
(you will see the css files for all the color schemes) >> I took the code from “theme-lime.css” and copy/pasted it into “theme.css”..

Make sure the formatting remains correct and no additional characters appear after you paste..

Now my entire Teline III site runs on the Lime color scheme, the same as an individual section would when lime is attached to it through the JA News2 module settings. It also seems to override and make “Lime” any new menu items added to the top magazine menu, which is what I wanted… 🙂

Hope this helps someone to get on the right path… Special thanks to member: “thongtinhanquoc” for getting me on the right path…

Thank you codestream! Since I haven’t had to edit the CSS files on this template, can you let me know where I can find this code. I really appreciate your help.

@apatelambit – One of the things you should always do first when setting up a joomla site is install the eXtplorer ( File Management extension). This extension will allow you to perform basic file management and editing tasks within your site Administrator area without having to go the FTP/Edit/FTP – replace method. You can find this extension in the Joomla Extensions Directory.

Using this extension, you can navigate to the path destination (within your joomla site) I’ve listed above. Inside the “colors” folder you’ll find the target css files that control various color schemes for the Teline III site template. Have Fun!
