Hi,
I would like to change the Large images in the Main JA slideshow that go to articles. I see that the quickstart images are located in /images/stories/slidshow however I see thumbnails there as well. Are the thumbnail generated automatically when I create a image for the main image? Do I need to name my new images the same? I see there is some code in the HTML editor that deals with images.

2. How do I change the button label (text). Please see attached.

3. Last question. Somehow I do not see the the main content module position on the Home page. I tried to just change the Title in one of the articles throough the Frontend Editor and messed up the alignment.

This depends on how you configured your ja_slideshow module – In the Navigator Settings you have at the end Thumbnail Mode – if you use the setting for using crop that means the module take your original image and crop the dimension to obtain the thumbnail and it changes the source folder for images from /images/stories/slideshow to /images/resized/slideshow/ so that’s the folder where the images are stored and thumbnails are authomatically generated .

In the module configuration panel you have Show Readmore if enabled it shows you the field where you can write your text for read more.

Please post a link to your page because from your image is not completely clear what was happened.

I have attched some addtion screenshots. I have entered “readmore” text in one of the articel that display in the slideshow. The readmore Plug-In is enabled. It does not change on the frontend.

Also I notied that the image do not change (cycle through). The animations is set to yet.

3. I cannot seem to get the Main content to display horizatial format like in demo. I installed the Quickstart demo for 2.5 and I only changed the “title” of one of the feature articles from the frontend editor and messed up the allignment as you will see in a better photo screenshoy. I cannot provide a link as my site is not on-line and in maintencie mode.

Please see attached screenshot. I can’t belive I;m having such a hard time changing a button label (or finding it) If you notice the “size” of the images in the slide show (main item) seem smaller that the 960×354 ? Why is that? and what is Main item I see? I cannot find any users guide that give this info!

I installed Quickstart 2.5. Read the Users Guide and cannot find any information about changing the button text. Please see attached. The issues I’m having are:

1: Cannot change “text” on the readmore button that displays on the slide show. I have the readmore button “plug-in” set to enabled and then I open the article and change the text for Read more and save. Go back to frontend and do not see any changes.

2. JA Slide show is set to animate but does not cycle through.

3. Main content area is messed up under TOP RATED HOTELS IN FRANCE. The first artice shows Horizantial and the other articles below the first one it looked squished AND DISPLAY VERTICAL. How to I fix this? Not sure what happend.

I have tested with your mention

1) Config readmore text “See all special rate hotels” in JA Slideshow module from back-end

Backend

Front-end:

2) In JA Slideshow module have three option to config show Animation: Animation Type, Animation Duration and Animation Transition, see the screenshot

3) In this case, I would need to take a closer look at your site. If possible you can pm me url of your site and admin access. I shall check it for you.

Remember to clear cache from Admin area after changed
