To change the default Joomla favicon to your own (or to remove the favicon altogether), follow the following steps . . .

If you want to change the default favocon to your own custom favicon (assumign you have already created a custom favicon of your own), you must overwrite the “favicon.ico” image in both your main site root, as well as within the following path –> plugins/system/jat3/jat3/base-themes/default/images/favicon.ico

SAVE CHANGES – CLEAR YOUR CACHE (both JAT3 cache and your browser cache)

That’s pretty much it.
