hey! Just wondering where can we change the color on the left and right sides of the template. Possibility a different color or a running image background?

I included an image to help guide you if your confused what I’m talking about.

Hi lotushost !
You open template.css file in templates/ja_larix/css folder , find following code section at about line 25 :


body#bd {
background:#E1D8C3 none repeat scroll 0% 0%;
color:#403C3A;
}

red text is color code, you can replace it by others code color.

You must create a image ,add it to templates/ja_larix/images folder then use format below :


background:url(../images/);

hello, i edited the color E1D8C3 to another. But I still see a part of the E1D8C3 left and right. Howcome?

Another strange thing is that the left menu background is also visible on the right? See right of login form for example.

Can you also please help me and explain where in the template.css I can these things:
1) change the main body white color, also the body of the news items like phone, media 2.0.
2) changing the white vm productslide background to other color
3) changing the yellow font in left menu
3) changing the main font color from black to white.
4) changing the blue font color in the news items ex. phone: Apple sued..
5) changing the blue font of the right module header

Really appreciate if you can get me started with this template.

i too am trying to edit the left and right side of the template…. using the default menu…ive tried to change the css and it isnt working form some reason… please take a look at the screenshot and let me know what i need to do to make these change’s…

ok, the shadow-left.gif and shadow-right.gif were still causing the borders left and right.
About my questions. I figured out a few but posted the remaining question in a new thread.
