Hi all
I have a different need re ja slideshow 2 to most. I don’t need anything to do with what or how it displays content, I merely wish to change the default background image it shows on the page.I’m experimenting with a site design in the light red theme. I have already used firebug to locate what images need to be changed, but even replacing those with my own image named as the default nothing shows up, nor can I see anything significant in the mod_slideshow2.css etc. It appears to be some masking issue with the slideshow background.png
Here’s some screenshots to show what I want as the site is local for now so cannot supply a url. I’m rather unskilled at the css tracing and debugging, so I’m hoping others can help

OOh Heck
I never actually wrote down the procedure 🙂
but the first thing was to make my own background the same size as the slideshow-bg.jpg in the colour folder I wanted (light-red) replacing the default with my own named the same. Then I deleted the main slideshow-bg.jpg from the template as I wanted no other colour in this site and it interfered with my own choices from memory
I found I had to delete the slideshow-bg.png as that overode the display of my own graphic, finally to get the same image to fill the secondary area in the blog layout, I needed to delete the botsl1-bg.jpg
I also changed the css for the footer area to make it white and filled the module areas above the footer red and changed text attributes as well
You can view the results here http://www.monsoftwebdesign.net/nmpac2 the home and blog layout reflect the changes, the design is for a Performing Arts Centre I’m contracted to do, hence the curtains as graphics
I’ve done a bit to to Pyro for the same idea/site but it’s local so I include the screenie of changes so far
