    I replaced the top slideshow photos with my own photos but I can’t figure out how to change the descriptions for the photos.
    Where are the descriptions stored and how can I change them?
    Also, how can I make the description text and the gray square smaller? It takes up too much space.

    And last, how do I remove the “Explore” option on the top menu? I couldn’t find the “Explore” option on any of the menus.

    My site: http://www.gali-nir.com

    TIA,
    Gali.

    Hello, you can edit the descriptions from the module settings page. Look at the attached picture for how to do it.

    Thanks, I edited the descriptions.
    Do you know about these things:

    How can I make the description text and the gray square smaller? It takes up too much space.
    And last, how do I remove the “Explore” option on the top menu? I couldn’t find the “Explore” option on any of the menus.

    Thanks for your help.

    the menu at the top is actually the main menu of your website.

    for gray area, try to reduce the heading size of the text maybe this help, you can edit those tags <blockquote><h3> and <h2></blockquote>

    try to make h3 >h2 and change h2 to h1 maybe this will help

    I found the “Explore” menu and unpublished it.
    As for the descriptions, I tried changing the size of the text and also tried including a line break but the side of the box remained the same no matter what I did.

    Thanks again for your help.

    ok i tried some code editing and it worked.

    there should be a code like this on css file. find this line and change the 600px to any px you want at the code shown below.

    <blockquote>.maskDesc {
    background: url(‘/templates/ja_portfolio/images/trans-black.png’);
    z-index: 10;
    height: 120px !important;
    bottom: 34px !important;
    right: 0 !important;
    width: 600px !important;
    }</blockquote>

    I somehow managed to screw up the site (changed the menu and then it didn’t work as it should and the slideshow was gone) and haven’t been able to access the forum until now, deleted everything and uploading quickstart files again.
    As soon as I finish setting up everything, I’ll try editing that code as you suggested.

    Thanks!

    Unfortunately it doesn’t work.
    But now I have a bigger problem.
    I tried to change the template’s direction to RTL for Hebrew content and then the slideshow photos moved to the far left instead of staying just below the menu.
    How can I fix it?

    Thanks for your help.

    Looking at the demo of Portfolio the RTL is working well in J1.5 and J1.6. WHat version of Joomla are you using?

    Also, what custom code changes have you made?

    I installed Joomla using the Quickstart files in the JA Portfolio template.
    The Joomla version is 1.5.22.
    I don’t think I have made changes to the code other than maybe change some text which is not code.
