    Hi,

I’m working with the JA-Alumni template and have the following question. I would like to change the populars module in position spotlight-tp-1 on frontpage in to a ‘latest article’ module. However the populars module has the ability to select the ‘popularlist’ as alternative layout. But in the ‘latest’ module there is only a ‘latest article list’ as alternative layout, and that isn’t suitable for this position. So what would be the best way to have the latest articles in the spotlight-tp-1 position?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi
Both are the different module and use different layouts
If you want to create an override to add new style code it need custom work in PHP and css depends on the needs how you want to display the articles.
You can see the override layout files in template folder /html/mod…

Ok, i’ve tried the following solution.

Made a copy of the popularslist.php file in the template/../html/mod_articles_latest folder
Placed this file in the folder template/…/html/mod_articles_popular

Then i’ve made a new Article latest module for the same position (spotlight_tp1) as where the populars module was, and selected the popularlist layout in the Advanced tab.

No additional css or php required, and it seems to work.
